Hi Everyone

Members were in attendance, as usual, at the Wayzgoose in April, making bookmarks for the public and enjoying meeting again with the bookbinding, printing and other artisans with their impressive work. Alice and I were the last two "on duty" that day and stayed on for the dinner. Sitting with some members of the Grimsby Art Gallery board, we learned of the problems being encountered by the Gallery and the uncertainty as to whether or not Wayzgoose next year will be at the same location. We wish them well and look forward to another Wayzgoose, wherever it may be located.

This is the last newsletter of our 98/99 season, a busy season too. Plenty of activity with two Open Houses and the sharing of Workshop experiences, plus our programme at each monthly meeting. We’ve missed some members who have had illness to contend with and wish them all well, looking forward to seeing them back with us again. Then there are the new members we are so happy to have join with us.

The first few meetings of our new season 1999/2000 have been planned and we hope you will find them enriching and enjoyable.

Have a good summertime!

Chris Towndrow
